1. Information We Collect

SimMark collects data within the scope necessary to provide core functionality and improve service quality.

• Bookmark Data: When a user runs the AI "Organize" feature, we collect the titles and URLs of bookmarks stored in the browser.
• Feedback Information: We collect feedback content that users write and submit voluntarily for service improvement purposes.
• AI Chat History & Identifier: User prompts and conversation history. All users are distinguished solely through a randomly generated unique identifier (UUID); directly identifiable information such as names or email addresses is not collected.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use

Collected information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• AI-Based Bookmark Management & Restoration: We analyze the user's bookmark structure to provide categorization results and maintain a change history so users can revert bookmarks to a previous state (rollback feature).
• Service Improvement: We use submitted feedback to fix bugs and enhance the performance of the extension.
• New Feature Development & Service Enhancement: Collected AI chat history may be used for service improvement purposes, including query pattern analysis and improving AI response accuracy. Additionally, if the user has consented to participate in service improvement, the data may be retained and analyzed for long-term quality improvement and new feature research. Data is managed solely by UUID and is never used to identify specific individuals.

3. Third-Party Sharing

• SimMark does not sell or share user personal information externally for commercial or advertising purposes. However, data is transmitted as described below solely for the technical processing required to provide AI features.
• Our own servers: api.simmark.kr (for bookmark data analysis and processing)
• Google Gemini API: During AI analysis, bookmark titles, URLs, and similar data are transmitted to Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
• If you do not use AI features, no data is transmitted externally.

4. Data Security & Deletion

• Secure Communication: All data transmissions are carried out securely via encrypted communication (HTTPS).
• Retention & Deletion: Collected data is retained and deleted as follows, depending on the type of functionality and the scope of consent:
  • Core Feature Data: AI chat data is retained for up to 7 days for context maintenance, response quality improvement, and error handling, then automatically deleted.
  • Bookmark Change History: Stored on our servers in pseudonymized form (UUID) to support the bookmark rollback feature; deleted 30 days after the extension is uninstalled.
  • Service Improvement Data (Optional Consent): If the user has consented to participate in service improvement, pseudonymized AI chat data may be retained and used for long-term quality improvement and feature enhancement until the extension is uninstalled.
  • Feedback Content: May be retained and used for service improvement and error resolution purposes.
